Hi my name is Jason Sperling. During my 20+ year career I’ve led creative for some big brands and talented teams. I’ve helped develop marketing campaigns that have made a difference for companies, and have had an impact on culture and the world at large. I’ve written two industry books. My first book, Look at Me When I’m Talking to You: Building Brand Attraction in an Age of Brand Aversion is about breakthrough creative and was released on Instagram. My second book, Creative Directions: Mastering the Transition from Talent to Leader (HarperCollins Leadership) is a primer for creative people of all types stepping into leadership roles.

I’ve helped launch some of the most transformative products of this generation. I’m currently helping to bring the Metaverse, VR and AR to the masses. Before this, I worked with Apple to help launch the first iPhone and iPad. Ironically, I also helped market the Pixar movie “Wall-E” which talks about the dangers of these products.

I’ve done work that’s made a difference. I developed the first-ever animated film series for pediatric cancer patients. The 23 films have been translated into 13 languages and are being used in 5 countries. Recently at Meta, I created a 5-part VR film series around teenage issues like body shaming and depression.

I’ve been a leader within the marketing community. I’ve spoken at Cannes, SXSW and recently did a Tedx talk for Carnegie Mellon University. I’ve written industry pieces and teach the occasional marketing class.

What else? I once developed an iPad app. I buy way too much vinyl. I love graphic novels and sci-fi movies. My yearly family videos are a huge source of pride. And my mom was in a cult. We can talk more about that later.
