To commemorate the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s 50th anniversary, we started at the beginning, and honored the decades of struggle that have paved the way to freedoms and acceptance. We sourced protest signs from the early days of the gay rights movement to created a font library. From there we designed the anniversary tagline, as well as evocative social media and outdoor postings that combined powerful headlines with photographs taken at pro-LGBT rallies and events over the last half-century.
